Financial Information

Comfort Health has a number of various financial options available, including government resources and private insurances. Our nurses and billing professionals are well-versed in a multitude of third-party payor sources and are available to answer your insurance questions.

Medicare:

Medicare may be used to defray some of the costs incurred by your short-term home health care needs. Eligibility for coverage is determined by your age, the professional skill level required to meet your needs, the anticipated length of home care, and your homebound status. Please contact our office to find out if Medicare may cover all or part of your services.

Medicaid:

Comfort Health has contracts to service client’s in Olmsted and the surrounding counties, including Goodhue, Wabasha, Dodge, Winona, Mower, and Fillmore. If approved for Medicaid assistance, you may qualify for skilled nursing visits up to 2 times per day and a home health aide visit up to one time per day. Verification of eligibility may take up to 30 days to obtain.

County Waivers:

County waivers, such as CADI, CAC, AC, and EW, may cover all or a portion of your home care costs. Waiver programs must be setup by the client through the County Social Worker. Eligibility and financial coverage will be determined by the county.

Veteran’s Benefits:

The Veteran’s Association has programs available to help ease the financial burden of in-home healthcare costs. Many factors are reviewed by the VA to determine which benefits a veteran may qualify for, such as the nature of their discharge, their length of service, and any service-related injury or disability. If you are unsure if you qualify for VA benefits please contact your regional agent either on-line at www.va.gov or by phone at 800-827-1000.
